Baseball Recap: Tri-Central Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tri-Central can now relate to. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southern Wells Raiders on Wednesday. The Trojans' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it seven in a row.

Tri-Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Cherry, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Cooper Leininger was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Tri-Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Southern Wells, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-11.

Tri-Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southern Wells, they will challenge Cowan at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
