Basketball Recap: AuSable Valley Takes a Loss

After soaring to 61 points the game before, AuSable Valley was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They were outmatched by the Beekmantown Eagles and fell 49-20. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-6.

Payton Parliament continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Beekmantown, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 18 boards. The dominant performance also gave Parliament a new career-high in assists (seven). Sophie Miller was another key player, putting up eight points.

AuSable Valley now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Beekmantown, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. AuSable Valley will welcome Fonda-Fultonville at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Beekmantown, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Northeastern Clinton at 12:00 p.m.
