Meanwhile, Dinuba lost 3-0 to Lemoore on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Emperors in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.
While Dinuba ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 25-18.
Tulare Union will have to keep a close watch on Cambria Gasca-Alderete and Delilah Rangel, a pair of players who had a big impact on Dinuba's prior game. Gasca-Alderete had seven kills, three aces, and two blocks, while Rangel had seven kills, two aces, and one block. Gasca-Alderete is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last five games she's played.
Tulare Union's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Dinuba, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-11.
