Volleyball Recap: Archie Williams Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Archie Williams can now relate to. They fell just short of the Alhambra Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in March.

Archie Williams started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 19-25, 25-12, 25-18, 16-14.

Archie Williams' defeat dropped their record down to 10-21. As for Alhambra, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9.

Archie Williams does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Alhambra, they will face off against Berean Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
