Baseball Recap: Northridge Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Northridge owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Mishawaka Cavemen 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

The result came thanks to Braxton Nagy's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Northridge is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 8-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Northridge secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Brecken Gawthrop, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Northridge pushed their record up to 14-9 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.86 runs across that stretch. As for Mishawaka, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.
