McLaughlin proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 68) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the White River Tigers 24-22. The Mustangs' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

McLaughlin's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for White River, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. McLaughlin is set to face off against their familiar foe Marty Indian on Thursday. Meanwhile, White River will challenge rival Flandreau Indian at 2:00 p.m. on the 20th.
