Volleyball Game Preview: North Salinas Vikings vs. Everett Alvarez Eagles

The North Salinas Vikings will face off against the Everett Alvarez Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Salinas has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 28.

Last Thursday, North Salinas didn't have quite enough to beat Rancho San Juan and fell 3-2. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trailblazers 25-17 in the first set.

North Salinas took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-13, 15-25, 25-21, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Everett Alvarez didn't have quite enough to beat Rancho San Juan on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Everett Alvarez actually scored more points across those five sets (107-104), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-21, 26-24, 16-25, 15-12.

North Salinas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Everett Alvarez, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
