Lakeland gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They blew past the DeKalb Barons 3-0. This was payback for the Lakers, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lakeland was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-24, 25-11.

MORGAN HEDGES paced Lakeland's offense, picking up ten kills. HEDGES got some help from ANNA RASLER and her 16 assists. ZOEY BOWMAN controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lakeland will venture away from home to challenge Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DeKalb, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Eastside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
