Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Wildwood walked away with it. They strolled past the Somerset Academy - Canyons Cougars with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 32-13. The Wildcats' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Zoey Brown was her usual excellent self, throwing for 265 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 45 yards and one score. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in passer rating (152.1). A healthy portion of Brown's aerial production (96 yards to be exact) went to Ja'niya Corbin, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Wildwood didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut D'Monyae Turner.

Despite the loss, Somerset Academy - Canyons still got an impressive performance from Ava Wotipka, who threw for 226 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 73.7% of her passes, and also rushed for 54 yards.

Wildwood pushed their record up to 13-0 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.4 points on average this season. As for Somerset Academy - Canyons, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-4.

Wildwood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 26-20 loss against Edison on the 10th. Somerset Academy - Canyons does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
