Baseball Recap: Ider Comes Up Short

Ider entered their contest against Skyline on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Hornets came up short against the Vikings, falling 20-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Tuesday.

Ider saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was RJ Young, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Tyler Kidwell was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Ider's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Skyline, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Looking ahead, Ider will challenge Mae Jemison at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Skyline, they will take on Fyffe at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
