Baseball Game Preview: Cox Falcons vs. Princess Anne Cavaliers

Cox is on an eight-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Princess Anne is on a 12-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Falcons will host the Cavaliers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Cox 2.5, Princess Anne 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.

If Cox beats Princess Anne with ten runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Falcons' pitchers stepped up to hand Salem a 10-0 shutout last Thursday. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Princess Anne didn't have quite enough to beat St. Christopher's on Monday and fell 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Cavaliers have lost by just one run.

Brody Bean was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Walt Clevenger, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Princess Anne's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Cox, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.
