Volleyball Recap: Hathaway Brown Comes Up Short at Home Against Kenston

Hathaway Brown unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Kenston Bombers on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blazers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

While Hathaway Brown was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 25-12.

Kenston was led to victory by Raygynn Pampush and Emily Grubich. Pampush had 15 digs and two aces, while Grubich had 13 assists and four digs. That's the most aces Pampush has posted since back in October of 2024.

Kenston's record is now 4-1.

Hathaway Brown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Walsh Jesuit on the 27th. As for Kenston, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Mentor on the 26th.
