Baseball Recap: Delta Comes Up Short

Delta fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Peak to Peak on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pumas by a score of 13-11. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (ten), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

Delta saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Kennell, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5. Kennell is becoming a predictor of the Panthers' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

Delta's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Peak to Peak, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Delta didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-4 loss against Eaton on the 5th. As for Peak to Peak, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-1 win against La Junta on the 5th.
