Volleyball Recap: Lac Courte Oreilles Find Success

Lac Courte Oreilles hadn't done well against Birchwood recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bobcats. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2018.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 20-25, 25-20, 25-18.

The win made it two in a row for Lac Courte Oreilles and bumps their season record up to 2-4. As for Birchwood, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lac Courte Oreilles will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Solon Springs at 5:45 p.m. on October 6. As for Birchwood, they will be playing at home against Bruce at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
