Basketball Game Preview: Smithville Tigers vs. Fayetteville Lions

Having just played yesterday, the Smithville Tigers will jump right back in to play the Fayetteville Lions at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Smithville will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Smithville picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They secured a 46-42 W over East Bernard.

Meanwhile, Fayetteville can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They put the hurt on Non Varsity Tournament Opponent with a sharp 43-20 win.

Smithville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points per game. As for Fayetteville, their victory bumped their record up to 2-12.

Everything came up roses for Smithville against Fayetteville in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 61-34 win. Does Smithville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fayetteville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
