Volleyball Recap: Vincennes Rivet Comes Up Short

After flying high against North Daviess on Saturday, Vincennes Rivet came back down to earth. The Patriots lost 3-0 to the Barr-Reeve Vikings on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-13, 25-13.

Hallie Knepp produced another solid effort getting 11 digs and three aces for Barr-Reeve. Knepp has been hot for a while, having also posted 15 or more assists the last 20 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lora Graber, who had 11 digs.

Vincennes Rivet's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Barr-Reeve, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Vincennes Rivet will take on Springs Valley in a tournament on Saturday. As for Barr-Reeve, they will square off against Linton-Stockton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
