Wallace County and Central Christian squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Wallace County had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 46-31 to the Central Christian Cougars. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Wallace County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9-1. As for Central Christian, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-10.

Wallace County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central Christian, they will take on Axtell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Axtell knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Central Christian likes a good challenge.
