Folsom continues to roll, but a tough Del Oro squad stands in the way this week.
There were no changes in the top six, but expect some movement in the
Top 10 after this week with some head-to-head competition, including
top-ranked Folsom playing at No. 7 Del Oro, No. 3 Grant competing at No.
2 Elk Grove and No. 4 Rocklin hosting No. 5 Oak Ridge.
Also of note,
No. 9 St. Mary's plays No. 13 Buhach Colony and No. 10 Central Catholic
takes on No. 16 Sierra as league races heat up in a hurry.

Result: Beat Nevada Union (Grass Valley) on the road as

Dalton Gee for a 63-yard scoring strike. The losses were to out-of-section powers De La Salle, Hawaii's Kamehameha and San Diego No. 1 Helix (La Mesa). A win includes state-ranked Vista Murrieta.

Marcell Spady scored for a 35-25 lead after trailing 10-0. The loss was at St. Ignatius (San Francisco) 27-24 in double overtime on a field goal after missing one from 35 yards out on the final play of regulation. An earlier win was over No. 11 Central Catholic on a late play.

Result: Beat previous No. 14 Manteca 29-28 on a late
Justin Rice 2-point conversion for the Raiders' first Valley Oak League victory since the 1970s (Central Catholic was realigned to the VOL this season after winning back-to-back CIF state small-school titles). Rice rushed for 129 yards and accounted for all four touchdowns. The loss was to No. 10 St. Mary's in the Holy Bowl on a late play.
