Softball Recap: Lennox Academy Panthers vs. Animo Leadership Aztec Eagles
In what's become a running theme this season, Lennox Academy gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Animo Leadership Aztec Eagles as the Lennox Academy Panthers made off with a 20-6 victory. The win was nothing new for Lennox Academy as they're now sitting on three straight.
Liliana Vallejo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). Vallejo has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Vallejo was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and a double.
In other batting news, Ariana Olmos was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Michel Estrada, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
