After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Heritage, Wake Forest was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Rolesville Rams a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Cougars have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Jackson Hardy tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Wake Forest got a massive performance out of Ian Williams, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Williams a new career-high. Kellen Rogers was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Wake Forest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rolesville only posted an OBP of .211.

Wake Forest's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Rolesville, they moved to 8-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wake Forest will venture away from home to take on Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rolesville, they will head out to challenge East Wake at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
