Basketball Recap: Southwest Takes a Loss

Southwest lost against Dade Christian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles had to suffer through a 63-28 loss at the hands of the Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since January 10th.

Dade Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nikola Mirkovic out in front who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. Stefan Babic was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 12 boards.

Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Dade Christian, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Southwest won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Immaculata-La Salle at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dade Christian, they will head out to square off against Doral Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
