Volleyball Recap: Hannibal Victorious

After losing to Liberty the last time they met, Hannibal decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pirates walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eagles on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Hannibal found their leader in freshman Tessa Janes, who had 13 digs and two assists. Those 13 digs set a new season-high mark for Janes. Natalie Friedersdorf also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Hannibal's victory bumped their record up to 14-5-1. As for Liberty, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6-1.

Coming up, Hannibal will square off against Quincy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Liberty, they will challenge North Point at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
