Volleyball Game Preview: Fenwick Friars vs. St. Rita Mustangs

The Fenwick Friars will head out to face off against the St. Rita Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Fenwick came up short against Loyola Academy and fell 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Friars in their meetings with the Ramblers: they've now lost four in a row.

While Fenwick ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20.

Meanwhile, St. Rita earned a 2-0 victory over IC Catholic Prep on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

St. Rita not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept IC Catholic Prep to exactly 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17.

Fenwick's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for St. Rita, their win bumped their record up to 17-10.

Fenwick skirted past St. Rita 2-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Friars since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
