It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Nikiski can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kenai Central Kardinals on Friday. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 15-25, 25-22.

Kenai Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brynnen Hanson out in front who had 18 digs. That's the most digs Hanson has posted since back in October.

Nikiski's loss dropped their record down to 41-13-6. As for Kenai Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 39-16-5 record this season.

Nikiski wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Valdez on the 15th. Hopefully Kenai Central paid attention to the Bulldogs' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
