Basketball Recap: West Laurens Takes a Loss

If West Laurens was riding high fresh off their 84-63 takedown of Academy of Richmond County last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The West Laurens Raiders fell 58-49 to the Harlem Bulldogs on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Harlem found their leader in sophomore Aj Williams, who went 6 for 15 to rack up 24 points and three steals. Williams' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Futrell, who posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks.

West Laurens' defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Harlem, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season.

As of now, neither West Laurens nor Harlem have any future games scheduled.
