Rootstown came tearing into Thursday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.6 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Chippewa Chipps as they made off with a 7-1 victory. Rootstown might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Chippewa with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Zach Pastor (3), Sam Textor (2), Bryson Scarlett, and Landon Rodstrom.

Rootstown's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Chippewa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

As for Chippewa, they will venture away from home to square off against Smithville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
