            Baseball Recap: Flanagan Falcons vs. Westminster Academy Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Flanagan had to endure  a  six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let the Westminster Academy Lions get on the board and left with  a   4-0  victory  on Monday. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

 Hayden Welsh tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over six innings pitched. He is becoming a predictor of Flanagan's success: when he allows at  most one  hit the team is 2-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't).
 At the plate, Flanagan let  Daniel Chavez and  Caden Corzo run wild. Chavez  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and one  RBI, while  Corzo  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
Flanagan's record is now 4-6. As for Westminster Academy,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 5-2 record.
 Looking ahead, Flanagan will host Braddock  at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Westminster Academy, they will challenge Montverde Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
