Recap: McCormick Chiefs vs. Ninety Six Wildcats
The McCormick Chiefs lost against the Ninety Six Wildcats last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. McCormick took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ninety Six. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McCormick in their matchups with Ninety Six: they've now lost three in a row.
Ninety Six's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gabby Hart led the charge by scoring 12 points along with 9 assists and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Janiyah Squire, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds.
McCormick's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ninety Six, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Emerald the next time they take the court. Ninety Six will head out to face Emerald at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while McCormick will host them at 6:00 p.m. on December 13th.
