Recap: Lake Mead Academy Eagles vs. Founders Classical Academy Centurions
The Lake Mead Academy Eagles stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Founders Classical Academy 51-12 on the road. With Lake Mead Academy ahead 36-4 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Aliyah Harris continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Lake Mead Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Hailey Newton, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and three steals.
The victory (which was Lake Mead Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3. As for Founders Classical Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Mead Academy will challenge Awaken Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Awaken Christian is ranked 69th, while Lake Mead Academy is ranked 45th). As for Founders Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Lincoln County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
