Football Recap: Heritage Hawks vs. Windsor Academy Knights

Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 41-6 loss at the hands of the Windsor Academy Knights. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2017.

It was another big night for Jay Singleton, who rushed for 180 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry for Windsor Academy. Singleton really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run. Colby Chappell got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Windsor Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 3-7 record.

Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Windsor Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Andrew's at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Andrew's is coming into the game with five straight losses on the road, meaning Windsor Academy will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
