Preview: Spring-Ford Rams vs. Central Bucks South Titans
The Spring-Ford Rams will play host again and welcome the Central Bucks South Titans, where kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though North Penn scored an imposing 35 points on Friday, Spring-Ford still came out on top. Spring-Ford took their game against North Penn 42-35. Given Spring-Ford's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 25th, while North Penn is ranked 96th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Spring-Ford can attribute much of their success to Mason Scott, who picked up 204 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and Matt Zollers, who threw for 261 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt. Zollers hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games.
Meanwhile, Central Bucks South slipped by Coatesville 21-20 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Central Bucks South.
It was another big night for Anthony Leonardi, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also picked up 65 receiving yards. Leonardi was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 65 yards. Chase Baratz was another key contributor, gaining 0 total yards and three touchdowns.
Spring-Ford has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Central Bucks South, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as both teams haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Spring-Ford commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 5.5 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Central Bucks South struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.1 per game.
