Basketball Recap: Midway's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After flying high against Coalfield last Tuesday, Midway came back down to earth. The Midway Green Wave took a 64-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sunbright Tigers on Thursday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Green Wave this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-49 two weeks ago.

Midway moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Sunbright, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Midway didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 83-79 win against Jellico on the 20th. Sunbright and Clarkrange will round out the year against one another at at 10:00 a.m. on December 27th.
