Baseball Game Preview: Eureka Loggers vs. Oakmont Vikings

The Eureka Loggers will head out to take on the Oakmont Vikings at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Eureka will be strutting in after a victory while Oakmont will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, Eureka had just enough and edged out Fort Bragg 5-4.

The team relied heavily on Garrett Levitt, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-2. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Zeller, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, after a string of ten wins, Oakmont's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They came up short against Buchanan, falling 10-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

Eureka's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Oakmont, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
