Basketball Recap: Tipton Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Jefferson City

On Tuesday, the Tipton Cardinals earned a 68-59 win over the Jefferson City Jays. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cardinals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 411th, while the Jays are ranked 17th).

Tipton's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Jefferson City, with the loss, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-2.

Tipton has already played their next game (against St. Paul Lutheran), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jefferson City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 68-46 victory against Warrensburg on the 30th.
