Quincy Notre Dame extended their winning streak to six on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 21-4 in the process. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Macomb Bombers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since April 3rd.

As for Macomb, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-18. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since May 15, 2024.

For Macomb's part, Kendyl Danner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on 11 hits. Danner has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Macomb saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Schmalshof, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
