Recap: Comenius Knights vs. Judah Christian Academy Lions
The Comenius Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 51 points or more this season. They really took it to Judah Christian Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 71-20 victory at home. The victory was just what Comenius needed coming off of a 111-37 defeat in their prior game.
Comenius found their leader in underclassman Donovin Jones, who scored 28 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The contest was Jones' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gabe Spann, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
The victory got Comenius back to even at 6-6. As for Judah Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Comenius will take on Charlotte Elite Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Charlotte Elite Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Comenius likes a good challenge. Judah Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Comenius at 4:30 p.m. on January 26, 2024.
