Basketball Recap: Frankfort Comes Up Short

Frankfort came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 74-35 loss at the hands of Great Crossing. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Leading Great Crossing to victory were Malachi Moreno and Vince Dawson. Moreno dropped a double-double with 11 points and 16 rebounds, while Dawson went 9-for-16 on his way to 19 points. Dawson's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Gage Richardson was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Frankfort moved to 23-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points over those games. As for Great Crossing, the win was the 19th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-4.
