Baseball Game Preview: McCallie Blue Tornado vs. Chattanooga Christian Chargers

For the second straight game, McCallie will face off against Chattanooga Christian. The Blue Tornado will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

McCallie is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Chattanooga Christian just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 10-4.

For Chattanooga Christian's part, they got a massive performance out of Andrew Petty, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Petty has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Fessler, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.

Chattanooga Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McCallie only posted an OBP of .400.

Chattanooga Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for McCallie, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
