While Palm Bay's victory against Brevard HEAT wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Palm Bay won by a run and slipped past Brevard HEAT 5-4. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Firehawks: they've now won four in a row.

Palm Bay's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dustin Young, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Young a new career-high in RBI (three).

Palm Bay's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.5 runs across that stretch. As for Brevard HEAT, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
