Baseball Recap: Dunbar Comes Up Short

Dunbar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Cape Coral Seahawks, falling 16-2. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Seahawks from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Dunbar's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cape Coral, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Dunbar will square off against Riverdale at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cape Coral, they are taking a road trip to challenge North Fort Myers at 7:00 p.m. on February 25th. Cape Coral knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully North Fort Myers likes a good challenge.
