Basketball Game Preview: Page Patriots vs. Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles

The Page Patriots will challenge the Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Monday, Page came up short against Brentwood and fell 47-35. The loss continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Bruins: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Shelbyville Central took on Lincoln County on Saturday. Shelbyville Central received a blow as they fell 64-48 to Lincoln County. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Falcons are ranked 28th).

Shelbyville Central's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Page, their loss dropped their record down to 24-7.

Page came up short against Shelbyville Central in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 34-28. Can Page avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
