Football Game Preview: Geneva Classical Academy Knights vs. All Saints' Academy Saints

The Geneva Classical Academy Knights will take on the All Saints' Academy Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Geneva Classical Academy fought the good fight in their overtime game against First Academy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 30-28. The loss came about despite the Knights having been up 22 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, All Saints' Academy faced Liberty Christian Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Saints took their contest with ease, bagging a 55-0 win over the Lions. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 34 points or more this season.

All Saints' Academy's win came from a few key players Geneva Classical Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Trey Bellotto, who threw for 82 yards and a pair of TDs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (177.1). Another player making a difference was Owen Shoultz, who picked up 47 receiving yards and two scores.

All Saints' Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Michael Frimpong and Sam Railey. Frimpong got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory made it two in a row for All Saints' Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.5 points over those games. As for Geneva Classical Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
