Softball Recap: Artesia Takes a Loss

If Artesia was feeling good fresh off their 17-1 takedown of Westminster last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Artesia came up short against the Cerritos Dons on Friday, falling 15-2. The Pioneers have struggled against the Dons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Kaleyse Foster made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

Artesia's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Cerritos, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Artesia is set to challenge their familiar foe Whitney at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cerritos will square off against rival Pioneer at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
