Volleyball Recap: Highlands Takes a Loss

Highlands lost against Crystal City back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Owls fell 2-0 to the Javelinas.

Crystal City was led to victory by Alyssa Flores and Anayeli Luna. Flores had nine digs and three aces, while Luna had four digs and two aces. That's the most aces Flores has posted over her last 11 matchups.

Highlands' loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Crystal City, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-5.

Looking ahead, Highlands will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Sam Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Owls are facing the Hurricanes at the right time seeing as the Hurricanes are stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Crystal City, they will host Del Rio at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
