Basketball Game Preview: North Stars vs. Righetti Warriors

The North Stars will square off against the Righetti Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with North sitting on four straight wins and Righetti on five.

North is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They managed a 51-46 victory over South. Given the Stars' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 161st, while the Spartans are ranked 337th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Central Valley Christian typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Righetti proved too difficult a challenge. They escaped with a win against the Cavaliers by the margin of a single free throw, 49-48.

North pushed their record up to 26-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points over those games. As for Righetti, their victory bumped their record up to 20-11.
