Softball Recap: Georgiana Comes Up Short

Georgiana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Elba Tigers, falling 21-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 on Monday.

Georgiana's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Elba, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Georgiana will host Brantley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Georgiana has given up an average of 19 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Elba, they will venture away from home to take on Geneva County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
