Softball Recap: Dedham Marauders vs. Medfield Warriors

Dedham extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 6-6-1 in the process. They fell 9-4 to the Medfield Warriors. Surprisingly, this marked the Marauders' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Dedham saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicole Andrews, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

As for Medfield, they pushed their record up to 4-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games.

On Medfield's side, Lindsay Barrett was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave Barrett a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Connie Hillenmeyer, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
