Soccer Recap: Bishop Carroll Comes Up Short

Bishop Carroll lost against Washburn Rural back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blues. While losing is never fun, Bishop Carroll can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Washburn Rural are ranked second).

Bishop Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Washburn Rural, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-0-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Bishop Carroll will challenge Dodge City on Thursday. As for Washburn Rural, they will square off against Manhattan on Thursday.
