Durango had to settle for second on Friday, but Sam Clark sure wasn't going down easily. Clark wasn't messing around, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. The pitching appearance was his sixth straight with two or fewer walks.

Even though Clark couldn't lead Durango over Fruita Monument, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sadly, Clark's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Demons' four-game streak of wins on the road.
