The Potomac School Panthers will challenge the Georgetown Visitation Prep Cubs at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Potomac School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Potomac School is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Connelly School of the Holy Child for the full four quarters, racking up an 82-51 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.

Potomac School found their leader in sophomore Sabrina Anderson, who went 7 of 8 from beyond the arc on her way to 31 points and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anderson has scored all season. Catherine Letendre was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.
Potomac School smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in December of 2024.
Meanwhile, Georgetown Visitation Prep faced Maret in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Georgetown Visitation Prep managed a 58-54 victory over Maret. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cubs.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Alyssa Fitzgerald and Kennedy Austin. Fitzgerald had a solid game and posted 12 points. Meanwhile, Austin was balling out in the loss, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds.
Potomac School has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Potomac School has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Georgetown Visitation Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
